Antibacterial products – test for antibacterial activity and efficacy
A sterile, dilute nutrient broth is inoculated with a test organism. Then the broth is dispensed onto the surface of the test pieces. Antibacterial activity is measured by determining the number of viable bacteria recovered on a control material in comparison, to the number of viable bacteria recovered on a treated test piece after 24 hour contact.
